10th Maryland Senior Open

COMPETITION:  The competition will be 36 holes stroke play with Senior (50 years of age and over) and Super Senior (60 and over) categories.   

 FIELD:  The field will be limited to the first 120 entries received on a timely basis.

ELIGIBILTY:

This tournament is open to male amateur members of member clubs of the Maryland State Golf Association with an up-to-date USGA Index at a licensed club of 8.4 or less as of August 15, 2009; to male professionals who are Middle Atlantic PGA members or registered apprentices; to male professionals employed by member clubs; and to male professionals who are residents of Maryland.  All players must have reached their 50th birthdays by midnight of October 12, 2009.  The  handicap index must be at the member club shown on the entry form, must be current on the date of the event, and must be viewable on the verification site of www.msga.org.   Entries may be rejected by the MSGA at any time, including during the competition.  Reason for rejection may include unbecoming conduct or failure to comply with the requirements of the handicap system.  Entrants may be required to provide evidence of playing ability.

Food & beverage must be paid for or charged back to players home Club.

The entry fee includes cart and range balls for both days.

Winners receive silver prize. High finishing professionals will receive prize money(check) by mail. All other amateur prizes are in the form of merchandise certificates which will be issued at the conclusion of play and must be exchanged for merchandise at the Pro Shop of Holly Hills Country Club. For those who win merchandise certificates but are not present when presented at the conclusion of the tournament, their certificates will be left at the Holly Hills Pro shop for them to claim and exchange. All certificates must be redeemed prior to January 1, 2010.
