FIELD: The field will be limited to the 78 players having the lowest handicap indexes received on a timely basis.
ELIGIBILITY:
This tournament is open to male amateurs who since January 1, 2009 have been bona fide public course players and have not held privileges of any course which does not extend playing privileges to the public. The player must also be a resident of Maryland and/or hold an active handicap at a member club of the MSGA which is not a strictly private club. Entrant must have an up-to-date USGA Index of 5.4 or less at a licensed club as of June 1, 2009. The Handicap Index must be current on the date of the event and must be viewable on the verification site of www.msga.org. Applicant acknowledges having read and understood the “Interpretation of Eligibility Rule” which appears on the MSGA web site: www.msga.org. Entries are subject to rejection by the MSGA at any time, including during the competition. The reason for rejection may include unbecoming conduct or failure to comply with the requirements of the handicap system.
