2009 General Conditions and Regulations for MSGA Men’s Events
 
The following conditions and regulations apply to all MSGA Men’s events for 2009 and supplement the Entry Form and Notice Players for each event and the Local Rules & Conditions of Competition for MSGA Championships (applicable to each event), the latter of which is also posted on this web site:
 
1.       Failure to notify the MSGA of withdrawal may result in rejection of entry for future MSGA events.
2.   The MSGA WILL institute a local rule permitting the use of range finders in all MSGA Championships, except
      the Amateur, Open, and their qualifiers.
3.   Post entries will not be accepted. 
4.   REFUND POLICY – Withdrawals prior to seven days of event will receive refund minus $25 processing fee. No
      refund if withdrawal received less than seven days prior to event without written medical excuse.
5.   Appropriate championship golf attire as determined by the Executive Committee is required. Knee-length shorts are
      acceptable. NOTE: The MAPGA includes the Maryland Open as an event for which the Section dress code applies.
6.   Metal spikes are prohibited. The penalty for breach is disqualification.
7.   Entries are subject to rejection by the MSGA Executive Committee, including during the competition. The reason for
      rejection may include unbecoming conduct or the failure to comply with the requirements of the handicap system.
8.   In the event of a tie for any runner-up silver prize, the tie will be resolved by the USGA-recommended method outlined in
      Appendix I.
9.   All merchandise certificates are redeemable at the host club’s golf professional shop prior to January 1, 2010.
